This is the Desolation of the Dragon II MUD source distribution page. The .bz2 files are compressed with bzip2, available at http://sources.redhat.com/bzip2/, and included in most modern Linux/UNIX distributions.
The following files are available for download:
DOTD Source Code. This is the basic code, derived from SMAUG and Dale that the MUD runs. Includes everything to get a basic MUD running.

Netstat for SMAUG, similar to the users command. Displays IP, port,
send and receive queues, retransmits, and the retransmit timer. Works
only on Linux (so far).

ACK map code ported to DOTD 2, should be easy to port to SMAUG. Included
in DOTD 2.2.8.

IMC SDK header, required for IMC support in Chess and Acro.

SMAUG Chess, raw and ugly, but it works very well - now with castling and pawn promotion! Support for playing over IMC updated in v0.29 (requires imcsdk.h above).

The game of acronyms, Acro, for SMAUG. Very easy to install. Included in DOTD 2.3.6. Support for IMC2 in v0.06 (requires imcsdk.h above). (examples)

The mudmsg MUD communications system lets two muds share channels. Similar to IMC or I3 but uses SysV IPC and only works with two muds running on the same system. Included in DOTD 2.2.8. Installation is not for the faint of heart.
